The tag questions are short phrases or questions that are placed at the end of a sentence affirmative or negative and generally aim to confirm or deny the content of the phrase itself. It is equivalent to ¿truth? Right?
Basic rules of tag questions:
1) The tag questions always used auxiliary verbs.
2) With affirmative sentences we use a negative tag question.
Eg: It's a beautiful day, isn't it?
You are really tired, aren't you?
3) In negative sentences we use a tag question in affirmative or positive.
Eg: isn't a beautiful day, is it?
You weren't really tired, were you?
